Find your courage.

“mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty”
For decades, I lived my life as a closed book. Even to myself.
As part of my own journey, my commitment to myself - my life! - I decided to open that book. And ended up writing a chapter in a collaborative book about it.
Courage was released on World Mental Health Day in October 2024 and became an Amazon bestseller across several categories (including Mental Health) and a number one bestseller in three categories.
I want you to know that it’s possible to heal, to live, to have dreams and to make them reality. To find joy in among life’s sorrows and to uncover yourself from the piles of stuff that build up over time.
A lot happened to me. As a result, I created chaos in my external life to match the chaos of my internal one. I clung to the idea of control. Of being in control, of controlling how others might perceive me, of defining my story by ignoring parts of it. [Spoiler alert: it didn’t work. In many major ways.]
If you choose to read the book, you’ll know more about me than I ever thought I’d share. And you’ll learn a little about how Unjumble came to be. Of course, we’re all beautiful kaleidoscopes with many layers, overlapping lines, colours, and all kinds of patterns. So there’s still more you won’t know. And, indeed, that I may not yet know!
Twenty five Coaches and Entrepreneurs contributed to the book, each sharing their own story. Many share tips, tricks, and strategies for success.
In my chapter, I share hope.
“Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for.” - Seamus Heaney
